W.L. Evans MAYO: Webster Lawson “W.L” Evans Jr. 83 of 310 Mayo Road, died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his residence. Born July 23, 1933 in Gaffney he was a son of the late Webster Lawson Evans Sr. and Irene McCraw Evans. He was the owner/operator of Evans Tire in Mayo and retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Geenwood. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his longtime companion, Pauline Lawter of Chesnee; sons, Randy Evans (Jackie) of Ware Shoals, Rick Evans of Mayo, Ron Evans (Barbara) of Boiling Springs; daughter, Lisa Abercrombie (Terry) of Boiling Springs; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Larry Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. The family is at the residence.
