Wilborn Waddie Hudson Jr., 79, husband of Rose Lillian Smalley Hudson, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 23, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born June 5, 1944 in Greer, he was a son of the late Waddie William Hudson and Bessie Bishop Hudson. He was retired as a Loom Repairman with John H. Montgomery Mill and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Lisa H. Waddell (David) of Pauline; son, Dennis Hudson of Chesnee; sister, Cecile Fitts of Greer; brothers, Calvin Hudson, Getties Hudson and Thomas Hudson all of Greer; granddaughter, Katelyn Griswold (Devin) of New York and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Maude Patterson, Lucy Clayton and brothers, Herman Hudson and Daniel Hudson.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Michael Coward and Rev. Roland Smalley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miracle Hill Food Bank, 189 N Forest St, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
