Uree Stacey Chesnee, SC. Uree Blackwell Stacey, 92, widow of Oscar Stacey went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center, Mary Black Campus. Born June 24, 1928 in Chesnee, she was a daughter of the late Curtis Blackwell and Nellie McKinney Blackwell. She was a member of Arrowwood Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Judy Stephens and husband Jerry of Chesnee; sister, Gail Hames and husband Gerald of Chesnee; brother, Grady Blackwell and wife Elizabeth of Chesnee; daughter-in-law, Sandra Stacey of Chesnee; sister-in law, Frances Thorn of Chesnee; grandchildren, Jennifer Whitaker of Chesnee, Billy Stacey of Chesnee, Dawn Guy of Boiling Springs; great-grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Hannah, Haylee, Bayleigh and a great-great-grandchild, Weston. She is also survived by several, nieces, nephews, cousins and children which she helped raise and loved as her own. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by daughters, Kathy Stacey, Sharon Kaye Stacey; sons, Benny Stacey, William Stacey; sisters, Uvilda Vicars, Eunice Sibbett, Iva Jean Carswell and brothers, Gary Blackwell, Shirley Ray Blackwell and Shirley Joe Blackwell. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Larry Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
