He attended Chesnee High School. In his working years, Tony was employed as a Spot Welder for Beverage Air and Butch Powell Heath & Air Conditioning for a total of 10 years. Survivors include daughters, Courtney (Aaron) Coker of Gaffney, Samantha Quinn of Mayo, sons, Bryon A. Scruggs of Spartanburg and Samual Scruggs of Boiling Springs, sister, Deborah Mae Ellison of Spartanburg, brothers, Reggie(Theresa) of Chesnee, Rocky (Marsha) of Gaffney, 6 grandchildren, and his girlfriend, Jeris Rutter of Mayo.
