Toby B. Cantrell

Toby Brooks Cantrell, 16, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born February 13, 2004 in Spartanburg, he was a son of David Cantrell and Angie Cantrell of Chesnee. Toby was a Junior at Chesnee High School where he was a member of the school’s baseball and football teams, was an honor student in the National Beta Club and attended classes at Swofford Career Center.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his brother, Jordan Cantrell of Chesnee; grandparents, Shirley B. Cantrell of Chesnee, Simp and Pat Westbrooks of Pacolet; aunts and uncles, Craig and Valerie Westbrooks, Dwayne and Cindy Cantrell, Darryl and Candace Cantrell, Donnie and Christy Cantrell; cousins, Ashley Westbrooks, Casey and Seth Breitenbach, Marcus and Emory Cantrell, Dustin Cantrell, Brittyn Cantrell, Amy Rae Breitenbach, Cody Breitenbach and his special friend, Katie Faith Watson.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Carey Cantrell.
The family would like to express a special thank you to all Toby’s buddies and friends which he held close to his heart.
We ask that family, friends and the community join us on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:00 pm for a celebration of Toby’s life at Chesnee High School football stadium. We ask that you please abide by district policy to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines throughout the event.
A private family graveside service will be held at Arrowwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chesnee High School Baseball Team, 795 South Alabama Ave. Chesnee, SC or to Arrowwood Baptist Church Youth, 1410 SC Highway 11 Chesnee, SC 29323.
