Tommy Whiteside Mooresboro, NC. Thomas Roy “Tommy” Whiteside Sr., 71, widower of Vicki Dawn Gibson Whiteside, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 6, 1946 in Shelby, NC., he was a son of the late Weldon Whiteside and Thelma Camby Whiteside. Surviving are his children, Thelma Rena Whiteside Young of Harris, NC., Rebecca Elizabeth “Libby” Whiteside of Mooresboro, NC., Heather Dawn Owens of Cowpens, SC., Thomas Roy “Tommy” Whiteside Jr. of Mooresboro, NC.; brother, James “Jimmy” Whiteside; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Maryann Whiteside Crawford and Martha Whiteside. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
