Steve Bond Chesnee, SC. Frederick Steve Bond, 79, husband of 58 years to Elaine Emory Bond, of Lakeshore Drive, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at his home. Born January 14, 1939 in Chesnee, he was a son of the late David Cecil Bond and Jeanette Blackwell Bond. He was retired after 38 years as a Technical Engineer with Symtech. Steve was a member of the N.R.A and the Lake Blalock Homeowner's Association he was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. He loved to travel taking him all over the world and had a deep love for nature and enjoyed fishing over the years. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Lynda Bond Tyler and husband Timothy of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, David Steve Bond and wife Carla of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Woody Bond of Decatur, AL., Jonathan Bond of The University of South Alabama, Timothy Tyler, Jorja Tyler and Miya Tyler all of Mt. Pleasant, SC. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Bill Thompson and Chaplain Scott Linnerud officiating. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Susan Guy, RN, Renee Morrow and Karen Ruppert of Interim Hospice and Home Health Care Agency.
