Shirley Bishop Cantrell, 83, widow of Rufus Carey Cantrell went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Regional Hospice Home.

Born July 16, 1938 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late William Marcus Bishop and Mary Elizabeth Bishop. She was retired from Boiling Springs Junior High School and a member of View Church.

Surviving is her sons, Dwayne Cantrell (Cindy), Darryl Cantrell (Candace), David Cantrell (Angie), Donnie Cantrell (Christy); brothers, Ernest Bishop, Billy Bishop; grandchildren, Casey and Seth Breitenbach, Marcus and Emory Cantrell, Dustin Cantrell, Brittyn Cantrell, Jordan Cantrell, Chris Upton, Annie and Chad Ridings, Joshua Upton and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Oliver Bishop, Melvin Bishop and a grandson, Toby Brooks Cantrell.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022 at View Church Cemetery, 5555 Parris Bridge Road Boiling Springs, SC with Rev. Tyler Kirby officiating.
