Scott Hefner Converse SC Michael Scott Hefner, 35, of 480 River St. died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 4, 1982 in Spartanburg he was the son of Joe Hefner and Wanda Sprouse Hefner of Converse. Surviving in addition to his parents is his grandfather, Franklin Sprouse; aunts, Brenda Morris (Junior), Shelia Anderson (Harold), Brenda Hefner; cousins, Roger Morris, Jennifer Horton, Eric Grizzle, Steve Morris, Cindy Hefner, longtime friend, Michole Smith and seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by grandparents, Patricia Sprouse and Joe and Mary Hefner. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Carlisle Wesleyan Church with Rev. Mike Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
