Reverend S. Michael Miller Shelby, NC. Reverend S. Michael Miller, 73 years, passed away this past Monday, January 14, 2019, at Cherokee Medical Center, Gaffney, South Carolina. Reverend Miller was born on July 13, 1945, to Sidney Wall and Mary Kate Ramsey Miller in Asheville, North Carolina. He later married Sandra Gail Whitley and until his passing celebrated 53 years of marriage. Reverend Miller was a proud United States Army Veteran having retired after 20 years with the United States Army. Thereafter, Reverend Miller studied for the ministry and completed his Master's in Divinity. He was currently the Pastor at Berry Baptist Church in Gaffney, South Carolina, the past 18 years. Reverend Miller was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. At the request of the family, absolutely NO flowers please. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Reverend Miller's name to Cherokee Children's Home, 215 Allison Drive, Gaffney, SC, 29341, or the Bible Broadcasting Network, (91.1), P.O. Box 7300, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28241-7300. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Berry Memorial Baptist Church in Gaffney.
