Ronald Lewis “Ronnie” Nichols, 75, widower of Joyce Smith Nichols went home to be with the Lord Saturday April 17, 2021 at his home.

Born November 19, 1945 in Bessemer, AL. he was a son of Bill Nichols of Rock Hill and the late Wanda Nichols. He was retired from Bowater in Rock Hill, served our country in the U.S. Navy Reserves and was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.

Surviving is his loving companion, Doris Odom of Chesnee; his children, Ashley Giles and husband Matt of Chesnee, Todd Nichols, of Rock Hill, Crystal Leopard (Anthony) of Simpsonville, Alex Odom (Sarah) of Chester, Malcolm Odom (Jen) of Greer; brothers, Tom and Mike Nichols both of Fort Mill; grandchildren, Harrison Nichols, Jake Giles and Hank Giles.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Bauknight officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Family member are at their respective homes.
