Ronald Dean Hall Sr., 75, of Spartanburg, SC died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 peacefully at home after a two-year struggle with aggressive lymphoma. Born June 2, 1942, at Fort Bragg, NC, he was the son of the late Sgt. Claude Hall and Ruby White Hall. His father was killed in active duty in World War II. Ron had a wonderful childhood growing up in Ellerbee, NC with his sister Claudia and his mother.
Ron loved his family dearly but that love could not have been stronger than all the love they had for him. He was a graduate of Albemarle High School and went on to graduate from NC State with a degree in Textile Technology allowing him to enjoy a 38-year Career with Milliken and Company.
Ron was a member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg, Young at Heart, and the Gowdy Mann Sunday School Class which will have honorary seating at his service.
Surviving are his wife, Michelle Harris Hall; son, Ronald Dean Hall Jr (Kathy) of Marietta, GA; daughter, Tresh Crosby (Daniel) of Easley, SC; and stepson, Garner Guynn of Denver, CO; sister, Claudia Bunting (Jerrell) of Albemarle, NC; seven grandchildren, McKenna, Silas, Cullen and Anna Crosby. Cameron, Loran, and Gavin Hall; five step-grandchildren; and two nephews, Dr. Kevin Bunting (Sylvia) of Decatur, and Jeff Bunting of Charlotte, NC.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. in Davis Chapel at First Baptist Church Spartanburg. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Davis Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bob Neely.
