Ronald Leslie “Les” Clarke, 90, husband of Sharon Smith Clarke passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at Regional Hospice Home.

Born August 26, 1932 in Hull, East Yorkshire England, he was a son of the late David Clarke and Constance Muriel Clarke. He was a former Maintenance Engineer with Riverwind Apartments in Spartanburg, former Head Expeditor with The Peddler Steakhouse, served in the National Service-British Army and was a member of Chesnee First Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Tony Clarke (Diane), Nicholas “Nick” Clarke (Teresa); step-son, Brian Scruggs (Donna); stepdaughters, Danielle Thompson (Dennis), Julie Denesha (Craig); grandchildren, Matthew Clarke, Amy Clarke, Becky Clarke (Lee), Jared Scruggs (Corky), Briona Scruggs, Elizabeth Thompson (Cristian), Ethan Thompson (Juana), Emerson Thompson and one great-grandchild, Chloe.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Dr. Gary J. Grogan and Rev. Kris Showen officiating.
