Robert Wayne Waddell, 78, previously of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at Cooperstown, NY. Hospital.

Robert formerly worked with Crown, Cork and Seal in Spartanburg, Sheffield’s, NY., Crest, NY., Clarkson Brothers and Best Machinery in Cowpens, SC. 

Born in Chesnee, SC, he was predeceased by his parents, Esmer and Talmadge Waddell; Son, Bobby Joe Waddell; step-grandson, Joseph; 8 sisters, Lula McSwain, Ovelia Hawkins, Francis Gardner, Lucille Jenkins Gilbert, Doris Phillips, Ann Jones, Lois Russell Beam, and Pauline Martin Howell; 7 brothers, Howard, Elbert, Jerry, Hoyt, Troy, Charles and Harold.

He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Crocker (Danny) of Gaffney, Carol Jordan of Carolina Care in Cherryville, NC.; brother, Ronnie Waddell (Renee) of Boiling Springs; previous wife, Donna McWaren Vantine of South Plymouth, NY.; step-son, Jeremy Vantine (Kara) of South Plymouth, NY.; step-daughters, Cherie Hanna (Michael) of NY., Serena Hughes (David) of Earlville, NY, Tonya Loscavia of South Plymouth, NY.; daughter-in-law, Sandra Waddell of Gaffney; grandchildren, Bobby Joe, II, Justin, Steven and Austin Waddell; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Hank, Hunter, Elijah, Jurni, Jax, Jett, Jovie, Brylee, Emmilyn and Asher Waddell; step-grandchildren, Brandy raised in the home, Joshua, Elizabeth, Glenn, Matthew, Sarah, Timothy and Chloe; 21 step-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Love Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating.
