Robert G. Lawson Chesnee, SC Robert Glenn “Red” Lawson, 61, loving husband of 40 years to Ruby Diane Lawson of 505 Rabbit Moffitt Road died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at his home. Born June 19, 1956 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Ervin H. Lawson and Rosa Garner Lawson. He was a 20-year employee of Spartan Mills and Piedmont Mechanical. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Bobby Lawson of Gaffney; daughters, April Killian of Chesnee, Annie Painter (Jason) of Chesnee; brothers, Ervin Billy Lawson (Janet) of Hawaii, Timmy Lawson (Kathy) of Conway; sisters, Gwen Smith (Kenny) of Gaffney, Gail Ponder (Barry) of Spartanburg; five grandchildren and three adopted grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Cooley Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dave DeLand officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 prior to the graveside service at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. The family is at the home.
