Richard Elwin Clemons, 83, husband of Barbara Ann Kimbrell Clemons, passed away Wednesday morning, February 1, 2023, at his home.

Born November 25, 1939, in Bartlett, New Hampshire, he was a son of the late Ralph Clemons. After he graduated high school, he made a commitment to the United States Navy retiring after 20 years with the rank of Chief Petty Officer E-7. He was a member of the Chesnee American Legion Post 48 and a member of Chesnee United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Diane Kennison (Wayne “Ernie”) of Chesnee; son, Robbie Robbins (Stacey) of Chesnee; brother, Ralph Clemons of Raleigh, NC.; sister, Gloria Grant of Texas; grandchildren, Meredith Robbins, Heather Simpson, Heath Ruff, and great-grandchildren, Alexis Cash and Liam Simpson

The family will receive from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Reverend Tom Thornton officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
