Raymond Alan Owens, 85, widower of Shirley Ann Jones Owens, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at his home.

Born January 2, 1938 in Columbus, NC., he was a son of the late Raymond Lee Owens and Dorothy Lynch Owens of Mill Spring, NC. He was retired from the Spartanburg Housing Authority, served our Country in the United States Navy and was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his children, Eric Owens of Sumter, Chris Owens of Columbus, NC., Jan Pace of Chesnee, Andrea Owens of Greenville; grandchildren, Quinton Owens, Ryan Owens, Kyle Owens, Cole Owens, Alishia Hairston-Abbott; six great-grandchildren and his beloved chihuahua, Marty.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ronnie Owens of Mill Spring, NC and Mike Owens of Myrtle Beach.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 2, 2023 at Mill Spring First Baptist Church with Reverend Joey Pitts officiating.
