Randall Moore Jolley

January 4, 1963 — February 14, 2025

Rutherfordton, NC

Randall Moore Jolley, 62, husband of Anita Thompson Jolley of, Rutherfordton, NC exited this life at his home on February 14,2025.

Born in January 4, 1963 in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Watson Jolley and Carolyn Moore Jolley.

He was a native resident of Chesnee, SC where he cultivated his love of hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors. He prided himself on the ability to bag the largest of deer who’s mounted heads he claimed went with any decor, raise top tier and sought-after hunting beagles, and how lush his food plots were year after year. He was a master marksman with the ability to dress down and rebuild a weapon in minutes. His charisma allowed him to make fast friends, and his life was forever changed with the introduction of spellcheck. He may have had little in regards to schooling, but education for his son was of paramount importance. You worked hard, and took pride in the work you done, or you didn’t do anything at all. The quality of your yard, grass, and truck was a direct reflection of your quality as a man. He was ferociously protective of those he loved and had the uncanny ability to find a loophole in every situation. He was, let’s leave the night before to avoid traffic, peanut butter is best served by the spoonful cold from the fridge, and confidence is the key to everything. His skill-sets didn’t stop at hunting, don’t forget the secret recipe chili, the random motorcycle phase, his fascination with one beagle Sparky that he had mech made for, his need to spoil his grandchildren no matter the cost, and the fact you would lose every game because he cheated, but you could never prove it. His sarcastic wit was always in full effect, and he would always have the last laugh. At a bearded, bellied, roughneck 5’11”, 280lbs his kryptonite was cats and needles. And at 50 he still needed his mother at all appointments. Behind the rough exterior still lived an 8-year-old child. May he be remembered by those that knew him for the good times and all the quirks that made him uniquely him.

Surviving in addition to his wife Anita, he is survived by his son, Hunter Jolley (Lacey); sisters, Melissa Justice, Tammy Sullivan; grandchildren, Kaylee and Natalie Jolley; niece and nephew, Jessica Martin and Patrick Justice.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. No formal services will be held.

Life gets heavy for all of us, and oftentimes we stigmatize getting help. If you break a bone, you see a doctor. If life gets overwhelming, reach out. Please instead of flowers consider making donations in his name to the Crisis Text Line 741-741 in hopes of helping someone else in the future. The work is done, the load is lifted, the fight is over, rest in peace daddy
