Peggy “Ma” Cash Garrett, 81, widow of Jesse Howard Garrett passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born February 5, 1940 in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Eber Cash and Texas Randolph Cash. She was formerly employed with Waldrop Heating and Air and was a member of Chesnee First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Jillian Lewis of Chesnee, Jake Lewis (Amberly) of Mayo, Rusty Garrett (Amber) of Mayo, Eli Garrett of Spartanburg, Grace Garrett of Spartanburg, Jillian Lewis of Chesnee; great-grandchildren, Alanna Burgess, Aubrey Cobb-West, Dahlia Lewis, Zepplin Lewis, Wilson Garrett, Evie Garrett, Chevy Cash Matson and beloved niece Camille Blackwell.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter Beverly Garrett Lewis and sons, Timothy Garrett and Mitchell “Mickey” Garrett.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at Chesnee First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Dr. Gary J. Grogan officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.

Family members are at their respective homes.
