Norma Jean Wood, a beloved member of her community and cherished family member, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was born on February 16, 1937, in Spartanburg, where she spent her entire life.
Norma dedicated over 40 years of her career to the textile industry, working diligently at Clifton and Mayfair Mills. Her commitment to her work and her strong work ethic were qualities that defined her character and earned her the respect of her colleagues.
Norma is survived by her niece, Jaclyn Wampler and her husband Chris, as well as her nephew, Charlie Quinn, III and his wife Jessica. These living family members, along with numerous friends and colleagues, will remember her fondly for her warmth and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Wise, who held a special place in her heart.
Norma Jean Wood will be remembered not only for her contributions in the workplace but also for the love and affection she shared with those around her. Her legacy of dedication and care will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
