Myrtle Virginia Horton, 83, widow of Clyde William Horton passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born February 21, 1938 in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Doffus Hipps and Edna Wilson Hipps and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons, William Horton and James Horton both of Spartanburg; sister, Linda Bush of Chesnee; brothers, Gene Hipps, Franklin Hipps, Billy Hipps all of Chesnee; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Linda Price and a grandson David Price.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at Mount Zion Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Rob Gouge officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church, 842 Mount Zion Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
