Michael Eugene Simmons, 50, husband of Nancy Dillard, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 26, 2023

Born July 21, 1972 in Spartanburg, he was a son of Joyce Williams Simmons (Billy) of Pauline and the late Willard Eugene “Butch” Simmons. He was a member of Love Springs Baptist Church and was employed with American Concrete. Michael loved God, was an avid Carp Fisherman, loved working with his hands and helping other people in need.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his brothers, Timothy E. Simmons (Jennifer) of Moore, Brian Bostic (Emily) of PA., Chad Wright of Spartanburg; sister, Angela Romero (Enrique) of Spartanburg; nieces and nephews, Zamion Pearson, Austin Blackburn (Lana), Heather Goode (Austin), Cody Gregory (Emma), Chandler Simmons, Justin Simmons, Kennedy Romero, Destiny Romero, Katelynn Romero, Apple Romero, Lydia Wright and Kara Wright.

The family will receive friends Monday May 1, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Love Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Dr. Ron Culbertson and Rev. Keith Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens in Roebuck.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Heritage Memorial Gardens, Michael Simmons Memorial Fund, 3901 South Church Street Ext. Roebuck, SC 29376.

The family will be at the home, 1381 Flatwood Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
