Michael “Mike” Newland Jolly, Jr., 61, loving husband of LeAnna Lovell Jolly, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 20, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born August 28, 1963 in Asheville, NC., he was a son of the late Michael Newland Jolly Sr. and Peggy Sue Piercy Jolly. He was an owner/operator of Mattress Max Furniture and a member at Church at The Mill.

Michael loved the Lord dearly and invested much of his time and efforts into sharing God’s love with others. He was an avid fisherman and captain of Get The Net Guide service on Lake Murray. Mike often used this as a platform for ministry and service by helping those less physically able have the opportunity to enjoy fishing and time on the lake. He served in a number of other ministries including mentorship programs, youth in foster care, and attending to any immediate needs he saw in others. Michael leaves behind an expansive legacy of love, kindness and generosity. 

Surviving in addition to his devoted wife is his sister, Ruthanne Hall (Phillip) of Moore; brothers, James “Jimmy” Jolly (Paula) of Pauline and Jeff Jolly (Lori) of Mayo; nieces, Amy Jolly, Mandy Jolly, Caroline Hall, Emily Jolly-Wofford (Luke), Victoria Hall, and Bella Clark; nephews, Travis Jolly (Eva), Nolan Jolly (Caroline) and Jack Jolly.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his nephew, Andrew Jolly.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary, 5880 Chesnee Hwy. Chesnee, SC.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in the chapel of Church at The Mill. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Choice Center, 1105 E Arch St. Lancaster, SC 29720 or to Second Chance Emergency Placement, 1247 Boiling Spring Rd. Spartanburg, SC 29303.
