Melinda Dawn Blalock, 42, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at her home.

Born May 9, 1980 in Spartanburg, SC., she was a daughter of Joey Wayne Blalock of Spartanburg and Paula Annette Eaker of Gaffney. She loved sunflowers, her family, her beloved pets, and Clemson football.

Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband Sean Ryan of Lincoln Park, NJ.; daughter, Ashton Davidson of Gaffney; twin sister, Melanie Blalock of Forest City, NC., other sisters, Angel Fogle (William A. Fogle, III) of Spartanburg, Anita Blalock of Spartanburg, Heather Blalock of Greer, Jessica Clary Jordon of Chesnee; brothers, Colin Bradey of Henrietta, NC. and Justin Blalock of Chesnee; grandparents, Chris and Barbara Weeks. Melinda was also the loving aunt of seven nieces and nephews: Baylee Blalock, Mackenzie Frederickson (Trever Frederickson), Avery Fogle, Emma Fogle, Abigail Fogle, Jada Lopez, and Jose Lopez Jr.

She was predeceased by grandparents Leon and Jean Blalock and great-grandparents Miles and Irene Scruggs and Walter and Kate Henderson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Upper Room Ministries, 320 Ware Road Chesnee, SC 29323. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Joey Turner and Rev. Sherry Blackwood officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
