Martha Jean “Mot” Turner, 69, widow of Billy Wayne Turner went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born January 21, 1953 in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Eugene Hawkins and Lucille Robbins Hawkins and was a member of Sandy Springs First Baptist Church.

Surviving is her son, Scott Turner and wife Lanetta of Gaffney; brother, Eugene Hawkins of Chesnee; children of the family whom she looked at as her grandchildren, Dallas, Haley, Brooke, R.J. Abbi and Brantley.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Turner and sisters, Lynda Steadman and Peggy Wolfenbarger.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday April 7, 2022 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Terrell Dillingham officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
