Martha Walden Jones, 83, widow of Herman C. Jones Sr. went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 2, 2021 at the home of her daughter.

Born July 26, 1937 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late John W. Walden and Alba Brannon Walden. She was retired from Wal-Mart and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her children; H. Clifford Jones Jr. and wife Robin of Inman, Deborah Mixson and husband George of Spartanburg, Timothy Jones and Shannon Edgens both of Spartanburg; brother, John Walden and sister, Myrtle Poteat both of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Amie Brown, Aaron Jones, Lambert Mixson, Jessica Ramirez, Kim Hull, Oren Jones; great-grandchildren, Chase and Lexie Brown, Brodie and Gwen Jones, Nathan and Cheyanne Hull, Conner and Casey Davis and Alex Ramirez.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Alvin Carter and sisters, Agatha Davis and Carolyn Hill.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary where a memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Dr. David Lancaster officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kim Arthur Scholarship Fund, C/O Cannons Campground United Methodist Church, 3450 Cannons Campground Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307
