Margaret Marie Cartee Willingham

Chesnee, South Carolina

Margaret Marie Cartee Willingham, 92, passed away June 14, 2023 at Magnolia Manor in Spartanburg. She was the widow of James Wilford Willingham and the daughter of the late Maggie Bradley Cartee and H.E. Cartee of Chesnee. Also surviving is one son, Randy of Chesnee, three daughters, Diane Henderson of Chesnee, Susan Hicks of Chesnee and Lisa Willingham of Chesnee, one grandson Eric Hicks  (Rainee)of Chesnee, two granddaughters, Sherri H. Thompson (Clint) of Mayo and Melissa Hicks of Chesnee, three great granddaughters, Heatherly Ardito (Thomas), Shelby Thompson of Mayo as well as Mallory Hicks, two great-great grandchildren, Cayden and Brooklyn She was predeceased by two infant brothers and grandson, Craig Henderson as well as her step-mother,  step-brothers and sisters and son-in-law, John B. Hicks, Jr.

Margaret was previously employed at S & S Manufacturing as well as a school bus driver for District 2. She was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, the senior club, the Ladies auxiliary and was a volunteer for many years with Rescue 7 where she served as an EMT.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 19, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow in the 1:00 pm in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Pastor Larry Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
