L.D. Bellew, 84, widower of Zelpha Foster Bellew, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC.

Born September 30, 1938 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Landrum Bellew and Sally Harris Bellew. He was a member of Anointed Community Church and a retired Textiles worker.

L.D. was a family man who cherished his family and loved his farm animals and always had a smile for everyone.

Surviving is his daughter, Patsy Hyatt (Tim) of Chesnee; sons David Bellew (Marcie) of Chesnee, Joseph Bellew (Lisa) of Inman, Dale Bellew of Inman; special grandson, Alex Bellew and 11 additional grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Beatrice Seay, Agnes Hutchins, Louvinia Rollings, brothers, Lishey, Edward, Walter and Bill Bellew.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Reverend Timothy Hyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
