Katie Sue Morrow Thrift, 89, widow of George Richard Thrift Sr., went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her daughter’s home.

Born January 27, 1934 in Rutherfordton, NC., she was a daughter of the late Ulus Morrow and Nannie Towery Morrow. She was retired from Progress Lighting and a member of Orchard Street Baptist Church

Surviving is her daughter, Kathy Crow (Mike) of Gaffney; sons, Joel “Scottie” Thrift (Jan) of Mayo, Wesley G. Thrift (Tina) of Mayo; sister, Carolyn Armour of Woodruff; grandchildren, Gina, Joel, Michael, Travis, Crystal; great-grandchildren, Rachel, J., Shelby, Harley, Haley, Jodi, Kayley, Aria, Miley, Austin, Tina Marie, Raven, Cayden and a great-great-grandchild, Hudson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by an Infant son Johnny Thrift and son, George Richard Thrift Jr, grandson, Richard D. Thrift and numerous brothers and sisters.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Fleming officiating.
