Kathy Kay Ramirez, 70, loving wife of Jose Ramon Ramirez, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Born March 27, 1952, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Maudie Petty Brooks. She was a former 4-star Chef with Cracker Barrel and of the Wesleyan Faith. She was a devout Christian Woman, former Sunday School Teacher and would pick up and take children to church so they could learn about Jesus Christ and who he was.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Shannon Estrada (Hugo) of Forest City, NC., Rebecca Stacey of Chesnee and Kodi Cabrera, sons, Jonathan Calderon, Jesse Calderon both of Chesnee; sisters, Mary Valverde of Chesnee, Linda Stacey (Charles) of Chesnee, Debbie Hicks (Mike) of Mooresboro, NC., Peggy Lowe of Walnut Grove, Sandra Hawkins (Donald) of Chesnee; grandchildren, Shannon Bradley Hines, Zachary Greene, Eric Calderon, Alex Velazquez, Queen Karoline Velazquez; great-grandchildren, Jayceon Murray, Alaina Rose Hines, Liam Bradley Hines, Arya Willow Hines, Wade Calderon, Rogan Calderon, Millie Calderon and a honorary daughter, Tanya Adams (Billy).

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a son, Loren Dane Stacey Jr. and four brothers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Reverend Scott Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the former Providence Wesleyan Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Shannon Estrada.
