Katherine Green Harris, 88, widow of Allen C. Harris Jr. who she enjoyed a loving marriage for 63 years, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at her home.

Born April 26, 1936 in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Troy Green and Bernice Smith Green and was a homemaker.

Katherine was a beautiful soul! Everyone who met her felt special and seen. Her family was her heart and soul and she was a true light to others. 

Her love for the Lord was evident to all she met! Her laugh was infectious and her heart pure.

She has forever changed our lives and will be missed beyond measure.

Surviving are her daughters, Melanie Gaines of Spartanburg, Meriam Scruggs (Bobby) of Chesnee; sister, Margaret Hammett of Lyman; 3 grandchildren, Chrissy Calvert (Tim), AJ Littlejohn, Ricky Littlejohn (Cassie) and 8 great-grandchildren, Morgan Trinity Rucker, Colin, Ellie, Tayte and Riggs Calvert. Graham, Clayton and Levi Littlejohn.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson Ryan Rucker.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Cassie Littlejohn officiating. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Calvert home.
