Judy Ann Barnes, 76 years, loving wife of 58 years to Grover Marvin Barnes, passed away the morning of Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Upstate Community Hospice House. Judy was born on July 30, 1948 in Spartanburg County, to the late Avery Hood and Rosalee Fowler Hood. She was a homemaker her adult life and loved her husband, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Grover Marvin Barnes of Inman, twin daughters, Candace Michelle Green (Michael) of Woodruff and Sandace Renea Barnes of Spartanburg, son-in-law, Todd Peeler of Boiling Springs and her three loving grandchildren, Matthew Peeler (Abby) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Christina Davis (Matthew) of Enoree, and James Green of Woodruff.
Friends are invited for visitation on Friday, September 20, 2024, 1:00 – 1:50 pm in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Glenn Rusher officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, all donations be made in the name of Judy Ann Barnes to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, South Carolina, 29303
