Juanita Carden DuRocher, 68, wife of 30 years to David W. DuRocher of Dorchester Drive passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Rock Hill, SC.
Born April 20, 1950 in Century, FL., she was the daughter of Lanace T. Carnley of Century, FL., and the late Russell Clyde Carden. She was a retired bookkeeper and of the Freewill Baptist Faith.
Juanita Loved life to the fullest and whatever she did it showed. She loved to travel as well as the beach and randomly picking up sea shells. She was a lover of animals, especially her little dog Sophie. You could always find her lovingly preparing one of her great meals that she took pride in with everyone around the table. She also loved fishing and was a gardener. If you knew Juanita, you knew she loved her Alabama Crimson Tide, as well as her many card games, various puzzles and whatever else might come into her life.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are daughters, Shea Costner and husband Ashley of Rock Hill, Brandy Lee Hampton of Westfield, IN.; son, David W. DuRocher II of Portage, IN.; brother, Judson Carden and wife Delores of Flomaton, AL.; 6 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a son, John Russell Capps in 2009.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Bryan Pigford of Friendship United Methodist Church, Cross, South Carolina, officiating. Juanita will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen, your local Hospice Organization or any Animal Society.
