Johnny Bruce Stacey, 73, husband of Joyce Powers Stacey, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 13, 1948, in Rutherfordton, to the late Bruce Riddle Stacey and Agnes McDaniel Stacey. Johnny went to Chase High school and was a professional painter by trade. Johnny was a devoted father, husband, brother, uncle and friend. He was predeceased by two sons, Abraham Bruce Stacey and Charles Daniel Stacey.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, Johnny is also survived by a daughter Sarah Stacey Tate (Kevin Hembree) of Gaffney, a brother; Jimmy Stacey (Barbara) of Mooresboro, a sister; Frances Booth of Mooresboro and three beautiful grandchildren; Tristan Tate, Austin Tate, and Emory Bailey. Johnny is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved and adored their Uncle John. Johnny had a personality bigger than life and will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary.
