John Calvin Hyder, 64 years, passed away the morning of Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
John was born on April 28, 1957, in Spartanburg, to the late Ottis and Betty Bishop Hyder. He graduated high school locally and was an onsite mechanic for 15 years with Complete Carwash Systems out of Alabama. He also had been employed with Inman Mills.
Survivors include his sons; Jason (Teresa) Hyder of Inman, John (Tabatha) Hyder of Fingerville, step-sons; Chris (Barbara) Suddeth of Glen Springs, Tim (Amanda) Suddeth of Inman, step-daughter; Jeannie Vitale of Chesnee, brothers; Jerry Day and Bobby Hyder of Spartanburg, Deb Korahrens of Cowpens, Pat Tunbuch and Polly Harold both of Spartanburg, 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and his long time companion, Deb Peeler.
The family invites friends for visitation on Thursday, September, 30, 2021, 11:00-1145 am in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will begin thereafter in the chapel at 12:00 pm with Pastor Joey Mills Of Anchor Life Church officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 1870 Goodjoin Road, Campobello.
