Joe Denver Blanton

Joe D. Blanton Chesnee, SC. Joe Denver Blanton, 77, loving husband of Mary Johnson Blanton of Mossburg Rd. passed away peacefully Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home. Born May 15, 1940 in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late William Grady Blanton and Edna Caroline Willis Blanton. He was retired after 37 years from Spartan Mills and a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are five children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Piedmont Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Revels and Rev. Bob Rudman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at the church.
