Jimmie Ray Mason

Jimmie R. Mason Chesnee, SC Jimmie Ray Mason, 75, husband of Louise Lewis Mason of 135 Lowe Road, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his home. Born January 25, 1942 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Fid Mason and Ruth Mahaffey Mason. He was a graduate of Chesnee High School, retired after 24 years at Hertz. Mr. Mason proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife those left to cherish his memory are sons, Jimmie Mason II of Wellford, Todd Mason of Fingerville; daughters, Shelly Lowe of Chesnee, Vikki Corbin of the home, Wendy J. Bradley of Green Creek; sister, Barbara Durham of Spartanburg; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, David Lewis and a daughter Mitzi Horne. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens by the Shaw Air Force Base Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. The family is at the home.
