James Franklin Taylor

James F. Taylor Sr. Spartanburg, SC James Franklin Taylor Sr., 77, husband of Mary Pierce Taylor died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born May 21, 1940 in Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Horace Lee Taylor and Mary Parker Taylor. Mr. Taylor proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, James F. Taylor Jr. and wife Randi of Spartanburg, George Camp and wife B.J. of Spartanburg, Sam Kirk of Campobello, Debra Rice and husband Paul of Conway, Renee Covil and husband Michael of Spartanburg, Regina Fowler and husband Alvin of Spartanburg; nephew, Joel Mason of Spartanburg and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Mason and a brother-in-law, Clyde Mason. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with Rev. Phillip Long officiating.
