James Cleveland Powell, 45, husband of 25 years to Jamie Michelle Thompson Powell passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center after a valiant fight against Covid-19.

Born July 27, 1976 in Spartanburg, he was a son of Robert Cleveland Powell of Fairforest and the late Phyllis Lou Bishop Powell. He was a self-employed Wild Life Remover, loved guns, knives, traveling and cruising and was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father are daughters, Katie Powell of Pacolet, Katlyne Powell of Spartanburg; brother, Timothy Powell (Kim) of Boiling Springs.

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a brother, Robbie Powell.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Doug Raynes officiating.

Family members are at their respective homes in Spartanburg.
