Jims obituary

James Thomas German (Jim) passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born in Batavia, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents Althea Caple German, Francis Thomas German and his sister Theresa Ann German. He is survived by his loving wife and dance partner Barbara S German; his children: James Thomas German II and Fredrick Charles German; his brothers Robert and (Janet) German, Michael and (Doreen) German; his grandsons Charles and William German. Jim grew up in Brockport NY, attended Brockport University.

He retired from the Federal Government, Dept of Navy in the area of research and continued teaching college mathematics in South Carolina. His training in dance was under The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance with Elizabeth Romaine in England.

He was a Master Gardner and his hobbies included ballroom dancing and creating beautiful woodworking items. His positive, caring personality has made him many friends.

A memorial service is being planned in Virginia. In lieu of flowers his desire would be for a contribution to an organization working for cure for cancer.
