Herman Leroy Sapp, 85, loving husband of Marilyn Sapp, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at his home.

Born January 10, 1936 in Ocala, Florida, he was a son of the late Ed Sapp and Sadie Marie Murray Sapp. He was predeceased by his late wife Linda Diane Sapp of 42 years. He was a former employee with the City of Gainesville, Florida and was retired from the United States Navy where he received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Award and attended Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Angela Everett of Alachua, FL., Sheila Dell of Simpsonville; son, Manie Kent Jr. of Greenville; brother, Tommy Sapp of FL. grandchildren, Scott Barnette, Ashton Dell, Corey Dell, Jordan Carter, Lawton Dell, Matthew Everett, Michaela Dell, Caton Dell, Haley Everett; great-grandchildren, Ava Barnette and Jameson Carter.

In addition to his parents and predeceased wife, he was also predeceased by his sisters, Lucille, Fannie Beth, Margaret Ann and brothers, Don, Murray, Allen and a daughter Sheryl Kent Carter Knighton.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Bobby Lindsey officating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum.
