Henry Gene Ledbetter, Sr

Henry Gene Ledbetter, 83 years, husband of Eleanor Katherine Austin Ledbetter, passed away the afternoon of Monday, May 8, 2023, in his Gaffney home surrounded by his loving family. Henry was born on November 17, 1939, in Cliffside, North Carolina, to the late William Quince and Vennie Pearl Short Ledbetter. He was educated locally and following high school, he enlisted with the United State Navy where he was a pilot/aircraft mechanic. After separating from the Navy, Henry became a millwright and was employed by Daniels Construction.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Eleanor of Gaffney, daughters, Lisa Ann Fowler of Gaffney and Mary Ada Ledbetter of Greer, sons, Henry Gene Ledbetter, Jr., (Cindy) of Vinemont, Alabama, Anthony Craig Ledbetter (Jodie) of Woodruff, Timothy Mark Ledbetter (MiKung) of New London, Connecticut, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family invites friends for visitation, Monday, May 15, 2023, 12:00 - 12:50 PM, at Center Cross Church, 549 Dillon Street, Chesnee, SC, 29323. Funeral services will follow in the church beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Joey Mills officiating. Interment with military honors will follow.
