Gladys Ophelia Quinn, 86, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the home of her daughter Gloria.
Born March 6, 1938 in Fingerville, she was a daughter of the late Ray Hamrick and Annie Mae White Hamrick. She was retired from Reeves Brothers Mill and a member of Brooklyn Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen Cathcart (Mike), Gloria Dean (James), Beth White (Jim); son, Donald Hamrick; sisters, Vivian Wilson, Frances Smith; brothers, R.L. Hamrick, Hoyt Hamrick, Jerry Hamrick; grandchildren, Mindy Gossett, Michael Cathcart Jr., Michael Gowan, Quinn White, Ashley Dotson, Tonya Fleming; step-grandchildren, Billy Henderson, Maxine Goodwin, Tammy Burchman; great-grandchildren, Carter Gowan, Brady Gowan, Bailey Gowan, Dash Gossett, Emma Cathcart, Skylar Dotson, Hunter Dotson and step-great-grandson, Blake Dotson
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Weldon Earl Quinn; sons, Danny Hamrick, Wendell Quinn and her long-time companion, Gary Cooley.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025 at Brooklyn Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Reverends Michael Gowan and Clay Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family members are at their respective homes.
