George Stewart “Pete” Lawhorn, 71, husband of Helen Shields Lawhorn passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born December 4, 1949 in Roanoke, VA., he was a son of the late Edgar Lawhorn Jr. and Margaret Parker Lawhorn. He was retired from Cryovac Sealed Air in Duncan, proudly served our country in the United States Army in the 25th Infantry during Vietnam and was a member of The Garden Church
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Scott Lawhorn and Cyndi of Blacksburg; daughters, Lisa Pruitt of Chesnee, Amanda Shields of Chesnee, Cathy Lawhorn of Chesnee, Amber Moss and Randall of Boiling Springs; sisters, Brenda Fowler of Boiling Springs, Sandra Boyter of Cowpens; brother, Ricky Lawhorn of Chesnee; grandchildren, Malyn Otte and Brandon, Adam Lawhorn, Kayla Pruitt, Katie Stalnaker, Elizabeth Stalnaker, R.J. Stalnaker, Absadi Price, Drake Price, Laine Price, Ryan Moss, Lucila Pruitt , Silas Price, Timothy Pruitt, Ella Pruitt, Baby Moss on the way and his Furr babies at home, Daisy and Willie
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Dylan Pruitt and cousin and best friend Larry Parker.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Edens officiating
