Franklin D Sprouse

Franklin D. Sprouse Converse, SC. Franklin Delano Sprouse, 84, widower of Patricia Kathleen Sprouse, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Regional Hospice Home. Born July 25, 1936 in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Leroy Sprouse and Carrie Linkous Sprouse. He was retired from Spartanburg County where he worked in Environmental Services and was a commissioner with the Converse Fire Department since 1973. He was a member of Carlisle Wesleyan Church. Surviving are his daughters, Wanda Hefner (Joe) of Converse, Brenda Morris (Paul) of Gaffney, Shelia Anderson of Converse; brother, Jack Sprouse of Columbus, GA.; grandchildren, Roger Morris (Amanda), Steve Morris, Jennifer Horton (Tony), Eric Grizzle; great-grandchildren, Holly Grizzle, Kayleigh Horton, Jackson Horton, Tanner Morris and Annalyn Morris. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Scott Hefner and 3 brothers. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Carlisle Wesleyan Church Cemetery with Reverends Mike Stepp and Bryan Stepp officiating. The family will speak to friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carlisle Wesleyan Church, 3250 Old Furnace Rd, Chesnee, SC 29323. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic it is requested that masks and social distancing be practiced at the graveside service. Family members are at their respective homes.
