Frank Edward "Ed" Motts

Pacolet, South Carolina 

Frank Edward "Ed" Motts, 82 years old, widower of Mildred Thrift Motts, passed away the morning of Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center, Mary Black Campus, after a long illness. Ed was born on January 3, 1942, in Pacolet to the late Tom Motts and Stella Foster Motts. He attended school locally and, in his working years, was employed with Spartan Minerals – FMC, where he retired after 24 years.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brian Edward and Lauri Rea Motts of Pacolet, one sister, Agnes Lowe of Pacolet, and his grand dogs, Buster and Penny.

 In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Louvenia Motts, brother, Sheb Motts and his first grand dog, Cody. 

Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024 at Pacolet Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tyler Ridings officiating. 

Family members are at their respective homes.
