Frank Kenneth “Red” Henderson, 89 years old, died April 22, 2021 at his home on Thompson Street in Chesnee, SC.

He loved Ann, his wife of 66 years, and grieved her loss daily during the past 9 months since her passing. Frank loved his children unconditionally and they were with him at his home showering him with love when God determined his days were done. He loved his Boston Terrier, Coco, who followed his every step day and night and lay beside him as he took his last breath.

Frank was a man of few words; the words he spoke carried weight. His last words are worthy of sharing as guidance for all; “Just be good”. He was unassuming, fair, and kind. He lived a good life, giving of himself and his time. He was a believer of Jesus Christ with his church family at Arrowwood Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Army. Frank enjoyed working, traveling, and tending his land. He enjoyed his tractors and his Grasshopper. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like his front porch view, homemade ice cream and any other ice cream.

Survivors are three children; Kathy Cook (Richard), Jody Henderson, Kristi Walker (David) and grandchildren; Kyle Cook (Jercikely), Michael Henderson, Deana Henderson, Krysta Cook, Aaron Jones, Auburn Henderson, Dakota Walker, Ethan Henderson, India Walker and Rayna Walker and Jeff Hutchins (Rita). Coco will now comfort Francine Stroupe who was on of his beloved caregivers during his final year.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd Lincoln and Myra Helen Thompson Henderson, his wife Ann Jolley Henderson, and his son Michael Kenneth Henderson.

Visitation will be from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary.

A private family burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes.
