Estelle B. Gowan Chesnee, SC. Estelle Blackwell Gowan, 85, of Chesnee passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at her home. Born March 15, 1932 in in Rutherfordton, NC., she was a daughter of the late Fred Blackwell and Dovie Hutchins Blackwell. She was a retired CNA from Magnolia Place and was a member of Alverson Grove Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Teresa Dillinger of Chesnee; son, Ryan Gowan of Chesnee; sister, Beulah Aldridge of Chesnee; brothers, Carl Blackwell of Chesnee, Henry Blackwell of Boiling Springs, Fred Blackwell Jr. of Fingerville, Sam Blackwell of Boiling Springs, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Alverson Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is at the home.
