Edward Earl Horton, 66, husband of Kathy Vest Horton passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born June 25, 1955 in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of Betty Doris Mabry Horton of Cowpens and the late Oliver Defoye Horton. He was a retired machinist and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for 40 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a daughter, Kimberly Lynn Varner (Richard) of Cowpens; son, Anthony Earl Horton (Jennifer) of Chesnee; brother, Danny Horton of Cowpens; grandchildren, Holden Varner, Kayleigh Horton, Peyton Varner and Jackson Horton.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the church with Rev. Dennis Spencer officating.
