Dwane Church
Spartanburg, SC.
Dwane Church, 56, husband, father, and friend to all, died peacefully on November 25, 2018 at his home in Spartanburg, SC.
An avid traveler through the years, movie lover and South Carolina Gamecock fan, Dwane’s real and abiding passions were his family and friends. Dwane sought to instill in his family a zest for life, a commitment to family and friends, the love and guidance of The Lord, and “to be happy”. Dwane’s love for his family showed on his face when he talked about them to others. Never meeting a stranger, everyone he encountered knew about his family by the end of their conversation. He was “Happy”, loved his bride, loved all of his precious children, loved his father and sister, and wanted to share that with the world. Facebook was his forum to share his life with everyone who knew him. Dwane would frequently proclaim “I am blessed way more than anything I ever deserve”.
Dwane is dearly missed by his bride, Kimberly Vicars Church, their son Ryan Parker, his children Madeline Church Buono and husband Kirk of Aversa, Italy, Jordan Alexander Church of the home, his step-children Margrett-Ann Lancisi of Spartanburg, and Matthew Bryson Lancisi of the home, his father Ken Church and step-mother Wilma Church of Spartanburg, and sister Stephanie Zimmerman (Dean) of Titusville Florida, brother-in-law Wes Vicars (Lauren) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, brother-in-law Dale Vicars (Melissa) of Jonesville, SC, as well as many nieces and nephews. Loved ones that cleared the path for Dwane are his grandparents Clifton and Evelyn Church, his mother Dorothy Blum, sister Wendy Taylor, and in-laws Garvey and Uvilda Vicars.
A memorial service will be held at Reidville Road Methodist Church on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Danny Wiley officiating. A Celebration of Life to follow at Indigo Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Dwane’s memory to Edward Jones c/o Ryan Parker Church, where an account has been set up to aid in future expenses for Parker.
The family asks that you spend time with your children, take a walk on the beach with your loved ones and make a toast to enduring friendships, lifelong and beyond. That is what Dwane would have wished.
